Colorectal cancer screening and Plenvu®
The Flemish government invites people aged 50 to 74 to take part in a free bowel cancer screening every two years. The aim is to prevent around 400 deaths from bowel cancer each year.
Plenvu®, a medication for bowel cleansing, plays a role in preparing for a colonoscopy. Plenvu® ensures that the bowels are completely clean, providing doctors with a clear view during the colonoscopy.
How should you use it?
Plenvu® is used to prepare for medical examinations of the bowels. It is important to do this correctly. To ensure everything goes smoothly, we have provided intake tips in various formats.
