Tommy X Lewis

Tommy Hilfiger continues its collaboration with Lewis Hamilton with an innovative retail experience. LX Concept created an advanced hologram for the flagship store in London, bringing a hyperrealistic 3D version of the Lewis Hamilton collection to life. Thanks to advanced animation techniques and accurate material representation, a dynamic, immersive presentation was created that blurred the line between fashion and technology.

Conceptualisation

A successful project always begins with a well-thought-out conceptualisation phase. That’s why we started with both sketches on paper and 3D designs to create a clear visual representation of the possible execution. Here, we present a few proposals. This approach allows the client to provide focused feedback right away, making communication clear and the process more efficient.

Installation

The hologram was installed on-site by LX Concept at the Tommy Hilfiger store in London.

To seamlessly align the hologram with the collaboration between Lewis Hamilton and Tommy Hilfiger, we added custom-designed stickers. These reinforce the branding and create a consistent visual experience. Additionally, they provide extra information about the collection, allowing visitors to discover details during the hologram experience, even before the presentation is fully completed.

Thanks to this project, we at LX Concept won the Rising Star Award from Sortlist.

Realistic 3D Design

All the models we used in the hologram were fully 3D designed with optimal animation capabilities and a realistic representation of materials in mind. During the design process, we carefully considered textures, reflections, and light exposure to achieve a lifelike appearance. Additionally, we conducted extensive Pantone checks to ensure that the colours matched exactly both physically and digitally, maintaining a consistent and accurate visual experience across all platforms.

We did this for various materials.

Final result

The end result was a high-quality, realistic hologram that was fully designed in Tommy Hilfiger’s style. With photorealistic imagery and precise alignment with the brand identity, the hologram seamlessly integrated into the store’s interior, creating an immersive and premium shopping experience.
