Philips Gift Ribbon

Philips is a Dutch technology company focused on health technology, consumer electronics, and lighting, with an emphasis on innovation and sustainability.
We were asked to design a gift ribbon around a box, with a playful nod to the company’s Dutch roots.
Before starting anything, it’s important to have a clear picture of how you want to execute it. That’s why we created detailed sketches, not only to help ourselves but also to ensure that the client understands we are on the same page.
From Holland with love
To emphasise Philips’ Dutch roots even further, we added small wooden clogs with a ribbon that reads: “From Holland with love.” This adds a truly personal touch to the gift.
To keep the ribbons neatly together, we had the Philips Shield logo engraved on wood. By choosing wood, we had countless options in terms of wood types and finishes. We had several variants produced to assess the differences in real life and make the best choice.
To give the client a realistic view, we visualised in 3D what the box would look like with the gift ribbon attached.
