Duchenne Parent Project Duchenne & Becker Congres

Duchenne and Becker Congres

On Saturday 27 September 2025, Duchenne Parent Project Belgium is organising a congress on Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophy at GC Den Breughel. For the design of the official congress booklet, the organisation called on us. The result is a clear and professionally designed publication, created entirely free of charge as our contribution to the community around Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

The congress booklet brings together practical information, provides a clear overview of the sessions and speakers, and includes in-depth articles on topics such as therapies, emergencies, physiotherapy and psychological care. Personal stories from patients were also included. We developed the entire publication with attention to accessibility, clarity and readability, without any form of compensation.

“As a board member of Duchenne Parent Project Belgium, I asked LX Concept to design our congress booklet,” says Jill Boeren. “In my previous role at PHILIPS® I always worked excellently with LX Concept. Their creativity, professionalism and personal approach make them an ideal partner. When we asked them to handle both the layout and the sponsorship, we immediately received an enthusiastic ‘yes’.”

Thanks to our complimentary booklet, Duchenne Parent Project Belgium can invest the saved costs into clinical research. This is essential to achieving their mission: finding treatments and ultimately curing Duchenne.

Duchenne is a severe genetic muscle disorder that primarily affects boys and leads to a gradual loss of muscle function. Annual fundraising and congresses are vital to supporting scientific research and accelerating the development of new therapies.

We are a creative agency that believes in clarity and meaningful content. We have worked with Jill for more than 10 years on marketing activation projects in the Benelux during her time at Philips in Eindhoven. We were aware of the situation of Jill’s son and of her commitment to the Duchenne Parent Project. We were happy to put our shoulders under this project. It is not the A brand communication or activation we work on every day, but it is a situation that deserves a moment of reflection. And if we can use our expertise to contribute to a cause that truly matters, we do so with pleasure!
